Texas A&M & the 2021 Texas Storm

Kyle Field, in my hometown of College Station, is one of the oldest stadiums in Texas. The Aggies have competed at Kyle since 1903.

Only the oldest colleges can claim to have competed against Texas A&M in College Station BEFORE Kyle Field:

Texas, Baylor, TCU, LSU, and Austin College.

Before Kyle, the Aggies competed at the Simpson Drill Field. It sits just north of Kyle, and is the site of an AC – A&M football game in 1898.

The Simpson Drill Field has not seen much action since 1898. But it did this week, when a huge snowball fight of hundreds of Aggies broke out.

I’m sure those 1898 Roos would have felt right at home joining in.
