A shout out to David Norman, whose number of years at AC as a student, coach, and Athletic Director total nearly 50.
Norman retires this year. The Roos got the win this weekend, in the season’s final game with points scored totaling just over 50.
I called the game with Kirk Hughes, snapping this picture from the press box before kickoff with Norman at the 50.
Coach Norman loves the mountains, so I bet part of his next phase will include him and Margie (also retiring from AC) heading west in a Morgan Wallen F150.
But I told Norman post game that I also hoped his next phase included the AC circle that he has so profoundly influenced. Coach, thanks for your 50 years of dedication to AC.
I’d normally write a Roo Tale tonight about that dedication. But I’m beat after a long Homecoming weekend. So, “tonight it’s looking F150-50.” 🙂
