Roo Reason to Root: UNC over Kansas
Yesterday I gave y’all a Roo reason to root for Kansas in tonight’s national championship game. How about a Roo reason to root for North Carolina?
In 1982, Michael Jordan nailed a jumper to give his Tar Heels a national championship. That iconic shot took place at the Superdome in New Orleans.
40 years later, North Carolina attempts to match that effort against Kansas. Tonight’s game takes place at the Superdome in New Orleans.
See photo of Jordan alongside former Roo All-American wide receiver and Tar Heels football coach Larry Fedora.
What is Coach Fedora doing now? He’s about to lead his New Orleans Breakers in the first USFL season since the decade when Jordan hit his famous shot.
All games in season #1 of the new USFL will take place in Birmingham AL. But season #2? Games will be home and away.
Which means that maybe, just maybe, Coach Fedora will be on the sidelines in 2023 leading his Breakers…….at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Road trip to NOLA! First Bourbon Street round is on Marc.
